About the conference

About the conference

The DRONTEX Conference aims to create a professional platform for sharing experience and information among experts in unmanned aerial systems, state representatives and NGOs in order to support the development of drone economy in Slovakia.

Our Association, Mám Dron, is fully aware of the enormous potential of unmanned aerial technologies and their deployment in numerous industries and services. Abroad, this topic strongly resonates across various professional international and local conferences and trade fairs, as a sign of the current rapid development of the domain.

Slovakia still lacking this type of event, we believe that the DRONTEX Conference will fill this gap and offer room for communication and cooperation of professionals in production, distribution and services related to UAVs.

SESSION 2: LEGISLATION AND SECURITY

Direct Remote ID, or a direct remote identification, became a new standard in unmanned aerial operations in Europe. Rafał Słoń will introduce a real-time drone tracking using Aerobits external modules.

Network Remote ID, which is considered a more technologically complex solution than Direct Remote ID, creates a safe and reliable connection between the drones and their operators within U-space in advanced operations (BVLOS flights, drone delivery, manned and unmanned flights within the same airspace). Ing. Lukáš Brchl, CEO of Czech company Dronetag, will present their Network Remote ID product solutions.

In his presentation, cpt. Mgr. Anton Sedlák from the Mountain Rescue Service will talk about the use of UAV in search and rescue operations, the pilot training paradigm for mountain flying as well as steep terrain mapping, in order to provide a safer experience for mountain visitors.

Milan Uhrič's lecture will talk about real-life experiences of drone deployment with and without thermal imaging, the misconceptions about the use of drones in SAR (Search and Rescue) missions, the responsibilities of the drone operator while surveying the assigned segment of the search area and the future of UAV in the search for missing persons.

12:25 – 13:15 LUNCH BREAK

Ing. Pavol Pecho, PhD. will go over the optimization of UAV deployment in SAR (Search And Rescue) operations. In his address, he will present research aimed at comparing the efficiency of fixed-wing UAV versus multicopter craft, and the use of automatic flight in different conditions to reduce intervention and search time. This research includes working methods for drone operators which do not require specialized training in order to improve human resource productivity.

Maj. Ing. Marek Šubín will present the methods used to monitor fires with UAV as well as their role in rescue operations.

What is the role of the Slovak Air Force Command in the protection of the national borders and airspace? How can UAV be useful in this context? These questions will also be answered by Maj. Ing. Mário Malatinec from the Air Force Flight Safety Department.

Documenting the scene of a traffic accident immediately after its occurrence is a unique act, the quality of which has a significant impact on the accuracy and conclusions of the analysis of the accident scene, which are mainly used in criminal and administrative proceedings of the persons involved. Ing. Tomáš Korbeľ, PhD from Automotive Solution4u, s.r.o. will, in his lecture, demonstrate the effectiveness of drones in accurately collecting the necessary data for a thorough investigation of accidents.
