Maria Algar Ruiz obtained her Master's degree in Aeronautical Engineering from ETSIA (Madrid) and ENSICA (Toulouse). She completed her postgraduate Master's degree in Fluid Dynamics at the Von Karman Institute for Fluid Dynamics in Belgium. First working as a project engineer at the CERN research institute and the Airbus company, she later joined the Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) in 2006, holding various roles. Since the beginning of 2019, she has been the main manager of the EASA Drones Programme and reports directly to the EASA Executive Director.

György Blazsovszký's interest in drones are a symbiosis of his personal and professional passions. György is a PPL(A) license holder and a member of Blaszo Airways. After graduating from the Budapest University of Technology, he worked at Nokia Hungary as a Senior Laboratory Engineer, later promoted to Principal Engineer and Technical Manager, and then worked as a R&D team leader as a Senior Software Test Engineer. His education and experience led him to accept a position at HungaroControl in 2016 as a Telecommunication Systems Design Engineer.

Rastislav Sopko had been working for a long time in trade and marketing in managerial positions, especially in the field of energy. He is also active in ecological endeavours through several platforms. He has been appointed the President of the Mám Dron Association since the beginning of 2022.

He founded his first company as a 23-year-old student at the Department of Quality Management, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Slovak University of Technology. During his studies, he started working on project management. After a brief time in the corporate world, he decided to devote himself fully to his business. Tomáš Korbeľ, PhD is an expert in the fields of Road Transport and Engineering, who mainly focuses on the analysis of traffic accidents and the assessment of the technical condition of road vehicles. Maj. Ing. Vincent Holubiczky, PhD currently works as an assistant professor at the Department of European Integrated Border Management of the Police Force Academy in Bratislava. He actively participates in teaching subjects in the field of Safety Sciences, publishes articles, and is a member of interdepartmental working groups on personal data protection and unmanned aerial vehicles. RNDr. Peter Fabo, PhD studied experimental physics at Faculty of Mathematics and Physics at Comenius University in Bratislava, and currently works at Faculty of Special Technology in the field of applied physics with a focus on research and development of sensors, technologies for non-destructive testing, programming and implementation of microcontrollers in data collection and processing systems. He is the co-author of several patents, utility models and published in domestic and foreign magazines. He participated in several projects focused on applied research in the field of environmental technologies that were led in practical cooperation with the industry.

Lukáš Brchl is the CEO and co-founder of Dronetag, a manufacturer of devices for the remote identification of drones. He graduated from the Czech Technical University in Prague, where he still contributes to research programs in machine vision. The Remote ID regulations being continuously updated, Lukáš also actively cooperates with the ASTM and ASD-STAN standardization communities. His passion, besides drones and basic hardware, covers a wide range of space technology and software development.

Vladimír Foltín is professionally involved in aviation over 25 years. He joined EASA in 2011 after years of work for ANS in Slovakia. He started in the technical support of AIS, later worked as ATCO and instructor. In parallel he led various ATM developments. He concluded this experience as the senior representative responsible for safety management.
Vladimir now works in the GA and VTOL department of EASA certification. He manages certification projects or contributes to other workstreams with ATM expertise. Prior to that he led standardisation teams in ATM or supported ATM developments. In 2016 he was seconded to the Slovak Presidency of the EU Council to chair the Council’s working group for aviation.

Brig. Gen. (ret.) Ing. Ivan Bella undoubtedly is one of the greatest personalities of aviation, not only in Slovakia. After studying at the SNP Military Aviation School in Košice, he became a fighter pilot in 1983. On March 23, 1998, he went to Star City near Moscow, where he began training for a space flight. In 1998, he became a member of the French-Russian-Slovak crew of the 27th expedition on the Mir orbital station. Later he worked as a military attaché at the Slovak Embassy in Moscow and since 2013 as a military attaché at the embassy in Kyiv. In 2021, he worked in the Aviation and Maritime Investigation Office of the Ministry of Transport of the Slovak Republic.

Capt. Mgr. Anton Sedlák works as a rescue specialist at the Training Center of the Mountain Rescue Service. Already during his studies, he devoted himself to the methods of remote sensing of the mountain environment in the Tatras, the Alps and Svalbard. Since 2017, the Mountain Rescue Service has been developing the use of UAV in Search and Rescue activities in the mountains. He considers unmanned aerial vehicles a great benefit in the monitoring of mountain areas and mapping of snow cover in order to issue avalanche danger levels and warnings for mountain visitors.

Koen De Vos joined the European Commission in 1993, where he focused on social and employment issues. JUDr. Štefan Dusza, MBA has been working in the field of civil aviation for more than 6 years. He started his career in 2016 as a legal advisor for the Civil Aviation Authority of the Czech Republic (ÚCL). During his tenure at ÚCL, he notably devoted himself to i.a. the project of digitization and automation of applications for the issuance of reliability checks, civil aviation passenger complaints, implementation of current legislation and administrative procedures in the field of UAS. He joined LPS SR š.p. in 2019 as a specialist in international law in the field of civil aviation law.
