Maria Algar Ruiz holds a Master’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering from ETSIA (Madrid) and ENSICA (Toulouse). She obtained her postgraduate Master’s degree in Fluid Dynamics from the Von Karman Institute for Fluid Dynamics in Belgium. After her studies, she worked as a Project Engineer at the CERN Research Institute and at Airbus. She joined the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) in 2006 holding various positions. In the beginning of 2019, she was appointed as the EASA Drone Programme Manager directly reporting to the EASA Executive Director.
Brig.Gen. (ret.) Ing. Ivan Bella is undoubtedly one of the greatest personalities not only of the Slovak Air Force. After studying at the SNP Military Aviation College in Košice, he became a fighter pilot in 1983. On March 23, 1998, he left for the Star City near Moscow, where he began to prepare for his space flight. In 1998, he became a member of the French-Russian-Slovak crew of the 27th expedition to the Mir orbital station. Later, he served as a military attaché at the Slovak Embassy in Moscow, and since 2013 as a military attaché at the Embassy in Kyiv. In 2021, he worked in the Aeronautical and Naval Investigation Bureau of the Ministry of Transport of the Slovak Republic.

Ing. Igor Kajan is a graduate of FEM SPU, a certified UAV pilot, and Chief Operating Officer of UAVIS, s.r.o. He participated in several projects focused on the collection and analysis of multispectral data and the development of geoanalytical tools for processing of data collected from remote sensing. In his current role as a COO of UAVIS, he oversees the company activities in the sales of drones, aerial works, mobile mapping, brokerage of remote sensing data, and consultancy in the field of processing, assessment and visualization of drone and satellite data.
After graduation from Military Air Force Academy in Košice, Tomáš Schóber started his military career as the GCI controller in CRC in Zvolen. Later, he moved to (continued to) Flight Training Department of the Air Force HQ, where he was responsible (in charge) for national and international exercises, cooperation with foreign armed forces, as well as with ATC entities. After leaving the Armed forces, he worked as project manager and solution architect. At present, he works at R-Sys company as a product manager
Luboš Šrámek joined Schiebel Aircraft GmbH in 2018 and is in charge of the CAMCOPTER® S-100 Unmanned Air System sales in Europe. Owning an Aerospace Engineering Degree, he has more than 20-years of experience in the Aerospace and Defence industry (Safran, Aero Vodochody, Honeywell), mainly in Project Management as well as Sales and Business Development roles. He also served in the French Air Force as a reserve officer.

Ákos Haramia founded his first company as a 23-year-old student of STU Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Department of Quality Management. Within these companies, he was mainly involved in strategic management and business development. After graduating from Budapest University of Technology, he worked at Nokia Hungary as a Senior Laboratory Engineer, later promoted to Principal Engineer and Technical Manager, and then worked as a team leader in R&D as a Senior Software Test Engineer. His education and experience led him to accept a position at HungaroControl in 2016 as a Telecom Systems Design Engineer.

Vladimír Foltín has been professionally involved in aviation for more than 25 years. He started his career working for an ANSP in Slovakia, first as an AIS technical support, later as an ATCO and instructor, and a leader of various ATM development projects. Vladimir now works in the GA and VTOL certification department of EASA. He manages certification projects and shares his ATM experience with other working groups. Ján Čerňan is an aviation consultant and project manager at Egis (until 2020 known as Helios Technology Ltd.). Previously, he worked on projects for the European Commission, Air Navigation Service Providers, and airports in the United Kingdom including London Heathrow and London Gatwick. Since 2020, Ján has been working mainly on projects for the European Union Agency for the Space Programme (EUSPA) focused on EGNSS (Galileo), EGNOS and Copernicus in the context of aviation and unmanned aircraft operations. Ján is an author of several blogs focused on current challenges in the area of drones, and a co-author of a white paper on the future of Urban Air Mobility (UAM) – Skycities, skyways, skytaxis: dream or destiny?
Vladimír Kulpa graduated from the Department of Electronic Systems at the Academy of Armed Forces of Gen. Gen. Milan Rastislav Štefánik in Liptovský Mikuláš. In 2010 – 2022, he worked as an anti-aircraft air defense system technician, and commander of unmanned aircraft systems operators in the Armed Forces of the Slovak Republic. From 2022, he is a lecturer at the Simulation Center in the Training Organization for Unmanned Aircraft Systems operators under the Academy of the Armed Forces in Liptovský Mikuláš, and at the same time an external PhD student of the academy.

As Head of Early-stage Innovation & Lab he is responsible for the analysis, evaluation, development, and integration of new solutions in the area of Logistics and Digitalization, such as drones. Nuri leads the DB Schenker Enterprise Lab together with the Fraunhofer IML and ISST and also owns the program lead for Schenker’s drone cooperation with Volocopter.

Koen de Vos made his career at the European Commission (1993 – 2020). After ten years of social affairs, he worked for the European air traffic management unit (Single European Sky 2002-2009) and, between 2009 and 2013, on environmental aviation issues, including noise around airports. He has been involved in the European drone policy since 2013 and became in 2015 senior drone expert, working in close collaboration with EASA, SESAR and Eurocontrol. Koen joined GUTMA in April 2021.

Ing. Jozef Tóth has been for many years professionally engaged in the operation, inspection and maintenance of electrical equipment. He has been involved in the UAS domain since 2016. As a part of directly controlled activities within the company, he initiated the standardized use of UAS in checking the condition of high voltage power lines, in diagnostics to check the heating of current connections, in vegetation management processes, but also in installation of bird flight deflectors on power lines.

Matúš Grega was born in 1981. Currently, he works as the Head of the Simulation Center of the Academy of the Armed Forces of Gen. Milan Rastislav Štefánik in Liptovský Mikuláš. He graduated in Informatization and Automation of Command and Control Systems in Aviation at the Military Aviation Academy in Košice. He co-founded the Joint Combat Training Center in Lešt, and worked there from 2006 to 2010. Since April 2010, he has been a member of the Simulation Center, where he deals with synthetic simulation tools and their applications in education and training. In 2016, he defended his doctoral thesis on national and international security. He is an author and a co-author of a number of scientific and specialised articles, textbooks and studies on modeling and simulations, security and crisis management. He is an active member in the Science and Technology Organization of NATO in the Modeling and Simulation group panel.

He is the co-author of the book DRONES, which was first published in 2017. Since then, the fourth version has been published. The book is a textbook for drone operators, it is used by customers, but also by high schools and universities.
JUDr. Štefan Dusza, MBA has been working in the field of civil aviation for more than seven years. He started his career in 2016 as a legal advisor for the Civil Aviation Authority of the Czech Republic (ÚCL). During his tenure at ÚCL, he notably devoted himself to i.a. the project of digitization and automation of processes in civil aviation. He joined LPS SR š.p. in 2019 as an expert in international law with focus on civil aviation. He currently works as head of the Unmanned Aircraft Systems department with his main focus being UAS integration into the Slovak airspace and use of UAS in civil aviation.

Jozef Soták was the driving force behind the birth of the first 18-hole championship golf course in Slovakia – Gray Bear Tále, and the 9-hole Little Bear Academy. He has been playing golf for over two decades, and was part of the Slovak Golf Association as a coach, referee and a high school and university teacher. In 2013, he was awarded the title Professional of the Year by the Czech Professional Golf Association. He is currently the CEO of Tále as that manages golf courses, ski lifts, hotels and restaurants.

Stephan Kraschansky is a former electronic warfare officer of the Austrian Armed Forces. In his military career, he had the chance to be the commanding officer of the first and only Austrian counter UAS element. He was responsible for more than 200 cUAS missions within the Austrian Armed forces at home and abroad. In 2022 Stephan Kraschansky quitted the active service and became the head of AARONIA Austria, a dedicated military and law-enforcement spin off of AARONIA AG Germany. Within the short time of only one year Aaronia Austria, has already been the solely contractor for counter UAS at the G20 summit in Indonesia 2022. Above that he is responsible for one of the most modern cUAS training centres around the globe – located at LOAV Airport in the vicinity of Vienna. Stephan Kraschansky is currently 32 years old and is living together with his wife the vicinity in Vienna (Austria)
Ing. Martin Jančo founded and manages M2M Solutions, a Slovak technology company focused on the support of supply chain management, logistics and production processes. Currently, he is mainly involved in new product development and innovations in the field of mobility and production. He is also involved in a number of activities that contribute to solving R&D challenges.
He serves as a member of the Government Council for Science, Technology and Innovation, a member of the Presidium and an industry representative in the Smart Mobility Association of Slovakia and at the same time as a visionary for the Smart Mobility domain. For his significant contribution in building the smart industry ecosystem, including the smart mobility and space sector, he was awarded in 2021 in the category of Science and Technology Personality.
